Bio

Declan is a Monaghan native and began acting in the 1990s. After studying Psychology (Queen’s Belfast), he moved to Dublin in 2001 to pursue an MA in Film Production (UCD) and Acting for Theatre and Screen (NPAS).  Declan has worked with several notable directors including Nicolas Roeg (Puffball), Paddy Breathnach (11850 TVC), Ian Power (ILCU TVC) and David Caffrey (Love/Hate). In his most recent comedy/horror feature The Gaelic Curse (2015), Declan was cast in the lead role as a hunchback. The film was directed by Jack Conroy (DOP on Oscar Winning My Left Foot and The Field) and produced by Edwina Forkin (Zanzibar Films). Declan was awarded an Arts & Culture award in 2013 by Monaghan County Council for his acting achievements to date.
