Bio

From an early age, Ama's interest was in the truth behind what made a fascinating and magical story. Having moved to South Africa at a young age, she was first introduced to the stage when she got lead roles in her school plays.

Upon moving to the United Kingdom, she continued to pursue her love for the arts by studying Drama as part of her course at her Sixth Form. From here, she won roles in various projects such as One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and Agnes of God. She went on to graduate with a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Her drive for acting later won her a place at the renowned New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

She booked her first role in the short film called Astraea which was entered into the Tribeca Film Festival 2014 in New York City. She was soon after nominated Best Actress 2013 in a play called Epilogue at the Strawberry One Act Theatre Festival in New York City. After graduating, she appeared in a number of short films and festivals in New York City including The Harvest and The UnChained Theatre Festival. She also attended acting classes with casting directors such Todd Thaler from Todd Thaler Casting and Trey Lawson from NBC Networks. She is always looking for new and exciting opportunities in film, TV and theatre.Most recently Ama has been see playing the re-accuring character of Yasmin in Fair City on RTE
