Blathnaid Ryan took the plunge full-time into acting  in 2012. Since then,  She has taken numerous courses and workshops and been cast in three independent short films. Her feature debut, ‘A Nightingale Falling’, was filmed in July 2013 by Mixed Bag Media. She previously studied and worked in Sardinia and Rome for three years where she attended the University of Sassari and taught English. She also worked as Consular Officer in the Embassy of Ireland in Rome. Following her H.Dip in 2002, she taught English, Drama and History at second level for ten years in Co. Offaly. She is currently studying Women in Irish and European Society online through DCU and pursuing a career in acting.
