August updates

An Irish famine educational short film “The Hunger Times” was launched recently at Dublin Castle by Tile Media, with Eoin playing the father of the young lead Patrick. The short film is available online to schools across the country via Scoilnet and "aimed at 10-13-year-olds, it'll act as a point of entry into this famine period and function as a means of exploring, reinforcing and visualizing the period."

Well Done to Aidan Jordan, Eoin O’Sullivan and Jim Gibney were in Kilkenny last week filming a corporate video with '90 Degrees West' an American Production Company and they all got glowing reports from the Producers. 
Jed Murray is busy shoot every day for an RTE series ‘Mini Mogles' with Tailored Films. While Eric O’Brien has been busy shooting a Bushmills ad for the US Market ad in Belfast for the last few days.

Watch out for Fair City tonight when Jenny Dixon (Kerri- Anne) delivers her baby with the help of her Nurse - the wonderful Grainne Boyle .. well-done girls!

Kojii Helnwein and her daughter Croi, Andy McGarry and Gerry Herbert were all shooting an ad with Production Company 'Tallerstories' this week. The ad was shot in various locations in Monaghan and Dublin. Following Mum’s footsteps, Croí and little sister Ealá are booked with Kojii on 'Here Are The Young Men’ directed by Eoin Macken Production Co - Fiveknightfilms, shooting is in Dublin later this month. Andy Crook is shooting this weekend, a short film with Director Alessandro Dioguardi.

Carolyn Bracken starred in a short film -‘Stormtroopers’ shot last year. It’s it's been accepted to Indie Cork and will be closing the Underground Film Festival in September. Carolyn is also part of the panel for it at Comicon tomorrow. The Stormtrooper screening and panel discussion at Comicon starts and 5pm at the Convention Centre tomorrow.
